Stop Chasing Scans: Meet HazardCo Geofencing
Oct 28, 2026
It’s 12:00 PM. Your crew has been hard at work on site since 7:00 AM, but half of them still haven’t scanned in. Sound familiar?
You need reliable records of who’s on site, and your trade wants an easier way to sign in each day. That’s exactly why we built Geofencing.
How It Works
It’s simple. The first time a worker scans into your site using the HazardCo app, an invisible boundary (a geofence) is created around the site.
From then on, whenever that person crosses the site boundary, their phone gives them a friendly nudge. The worker taps to confirm they are fit for work and that’s it. It’s a perfectly timed tap on the shoulder when they arrive and leave.
Having a reliable, real-time record of who is on-site means you know everyone has reviewed the safety plan, checked the site hazards, and confirmed they’re fit for work. This is particularly important if you have an incident on site.
As a building company owner or supervisor, creating a culture of daily sign-ins is key. Now you can set the expectation and give your trades options: they can scan the QR code on the Hazard board or use Geofencing. It’s about keeping everyone safe and informed in the simplest way possible.
