You already know your land, but making the right call before turning the key keeps you, your crew, and your mates safe to head home at knock-off.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Match the machine to the task<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The right ride yesterday might not be the right one today. Their tyres aren\u2019t built for it, and steering gets dodgy fast. <\/span><b>Ditch the paper for pre-start checks<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Taking two minutes to cast an eye over a machine saves blown belts, wrecked gear, and nasty roll-overs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Before turning the key, check:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Brakes, lights and active safety systems<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Oil, coolant, and brake fluid<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Tyre pressures and tread condition<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Wheel nuts and steering play<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Roll-over protective structures (ROPS) for any rust or cracks<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Paper check sheets in the workshop end up dog-eared or covered in grease.
