These actions create <\/span>danger zones<span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> where workers can be pulled into moving parts, struck by heavy components, or burned by hot or fast\u2011moving surfaces. <\/span>To keep things safe, it\u2019s good practice to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Check the Dangers:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Use the <\/span>HazardCo app<span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> to identify any hazards and risks\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Keep a List:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Use the <\/span>Hazard Register template<span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> in the HazardCo Hub to keep a simple record of the hazards for each machine.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Simple Instructions (SOPs):<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Every machine should have a basic &#8220;how-to&#8221; guide. These cover how to start, use, and turn off the gear safely. You can find easy-to-use templates in the Hub, so you don&#8217;t have to start from scratch.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>The Daily Pre-Start Check<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Work environments in these industries are tough. Environmental factors such as dust, mud, and constant vibration can cause parts to wear out or break unexpectedly. A loose bolt or a damaged hydraulic hose can quickly turn into a major safety issue.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Before you turn the key or flip the switch, do a quick check. Taking a few minutes each morning to ensure the machine is in good working order saves time and prevents accidents.
