Why we need to stay on top of contact tracing

In a COVID-19 world, the ability to track people’s movements makes completing inductions more important than ever. Contact tracing is a hot topic right now, and although it may seem confusing, HazardCo’s contactless solution puts that power straight into your hands.

Why?

Safety. First. Always. In order to stop the spread of COVID-19, you need to be able to trace anyone who may have been exposed to COVID-19, and recording contact information helps both you and the Ministry of Health to do this quickly and efficiently. The faster they can trace contacts, the faster we can prevent further spread of the disease and avoid lockdown.

How?

Builders: Our contactless induction feature includes a QR code that allows everyone to scan in and out. This meets the all important contact tracing requirements by capturing visitors or workers contact details, as well as the all important COVID-19 health check questions. In case of an outbreak at your workplace, this information is key!

Tradies: Before you start a job, send the induction link over to your client and make sure they have completed this before your arrival at the workplace to ensure there is no risk to you or your team.  As usual, you then complete your risk assessment which includes all the required contact tracing questions for you and your team.

Keeping a record of these answers will help to ensure both you, your team, your client and your contractors are kept safe before you enter the workplace – but you don’t need to worry about that as all of this information is saved automatically for you in our cloud based system – and if you need to access it, we can get this over to you in a flash!
