Lockdown ends at 11.59 pm on Monday April 27

At 4pm today, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern announced that New Zealand will move out of lockdown at 11.59 pm on Monday April 27 and into Alert Level 3.  Initially, we will remain at Alert Level 3 for 2 weeks, and a decision will be made on May 11 to determine the next steps.

What we know so far

We are able to use this week to prepare. This means businesses can get ready to open and you are able to enter your workplace if you need to prepare to open, for example, to receive stock. Just remember to follow physical distancing guidelines.

All of the same rules apply. Stick to your bubble. If you don’t need to prepare to open, stay at home. If you are able to work from home, you should. Cough and sneeze into your elbow and wash your hands. Most importantly, if you feel unwell, stay at home and get tested as soon as possible.

What happens next

Last Friday we sent you detailed information around changes to the way we need to work at Alert Level 3, which can be found below. We’ve been working around the clock to ensure you will have everything you need to get back to work next Tuesday and we will be sharing more information with you over the next few days.
