ABOUT USHazardCo Directors
HazardCo has two directors ; Gavin Karl and Mark Potter.
Gavin has 25 years experience in Residential Construction. A Bricklayer by trade it wasn't long before he diversified into Property Development and Project Management. Gavin's projects ranged from single dwellings to multi-million dollar sub-divisions. As the size of the projects increased Gavin made sure he remained "hands on" and continued to be involved in day to day issues.
Mark's 16 years in Commercial Construction involved subcontracting to New Zealand's largest Construction Companies. He worked closely with key Architects and Designers on many of the countries biggest building projects. As a result he was involved in Health & Safety for the Construction Industry from a very early stage.
Why Did They Start HazardCo?
Mark and Gavin
knew that the traditional approach to Health and Safety in
Construction had failed. Total focus on the Legislation and Regulations
was not producing a Programme that was making any difference on the
building sites.
Gavin & Mark started with what was wanted
by contractors and builders - something achievable and practical for
everyone in the Construction Industry.
No one could deny that their performance to date confirms that the industry was ready for this new approach.
